I went to my doctor yesterday and tested my A1c, which is my average blood sugar over the past few months, basically. It really is how much sugar is stuck to my blood, which happens when I have high blood sugars.
I'm down to a 7.9, which is the best I've been in 7 years. And it has come down from a 9.1 in the past three months. Woo hoo!
My nurse was very, very excited. As am I. I hope I can keep this consistent and even down a little more. I have to say that hard work does pay off.
Also, don't remember if I blogged this or not, but I'm off the coumadin. Just on baby aspirin for another six months and then hoepfully nothing! Life is absolutely exciting right now.
And the last bit of news, if you look just to the right on the blog you'll see the countdown to Albert's graduation. I started it at the beginning of this school year. Do you notice? We're in the single digits!!! He graduates on May 16 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and two minors in computer science and math. Again, woo hoo!
